Internships for Students

At the Transgender Resource Center, we are proud to offer internships for college students from various disciplines. Our internship program is designed to foster understanding and social consciousness regarding the transgender community. By working closely with our team, students gain valuable insights into the challenges and experiences of transgender individuals, helping to create a more inclusive and empathetic society.

Internship Program Highlights:

Hands-On Experience: Interns participate in day-to-day operations, assist in organizing events, and contribute to research and advocacy projects.

Educational Workshops: We provide workshops on transgender issues, social justice, and community engagement, enhancing the educational experience.

Mentorship and Guidance: Interns receive mentorship from experienced professionals, aiding their personal and professional development.

• Around 87 students from American College, Madurai, Lady Doak College, Madurai; MannarThirumalaiNaicker College, Madurai; Madurai Kamaraj University &Anugaraha Institute of Social Science, Dindigul have done their internships in TRC.
• Of the above-mentioned number, 3 students participated in Trans Film Festival, 2018 conducted by TRC. Many students took up the Transgender community & their livelihood as the main course for their Post-Graduation.
• Various colleges and other educational institutions provided their support in encouraging more students to do their Internships in our center.
